INSTRON 9400 Series Drop Weight Impact Tester

The 9400 Series is the next generation of the Instron Dynatup drop-weight impact testing system. It determines the energy required to break or damage a material or component by dropping a defined weight onto a specimen from a specific height. It complies with all major standards (e.g. ASTM D3763 and ISO 6603) and covers energies from 0.3 to 1,800 J, from thin polymer films to heavier composites, light alloys and structural parts.
