Taber Shear / Scratch Tester 550

Model 550 (115 V, 60 Hz) evaluates resistance to shearing, scratching, gouging, marring, scraping and engraving of flat rigid specimens (up to 12.7 mm thick), the homogeneity of materials and the adhesion of protective coatings. The tip load is set with a sliding weight on a scale beam over 0–500 g (500–1000 g with a second weight); the motorised turntable runs at a constant 0,6 rpm. Supplied with cutting tools S-20 and 139-55. Meets ISO, DIN, EN and other European standards.
