The Optical Micrometer 966A makes non-contact measurements on flat or curved surfaces: depth of scratches, fractures, crazing and embedded voids and the thickness of transparent materials (glass, acrylic). Rugged housing with an easy-to-read vernier scale and a standard tripod base; at 200× magnification it measures depth up to 0.260 in. Suitable for field use (windshields, airframes, blades).
