Taber Torsional Stiffness Apparatus 108

The Model 108 measures the relative stiffness of glove leather and other bendable specimens according to ASTM D2821. A torsion head with a 0–360° dial protractor and a 0.010 in tempered stainless-steel wire twists a 1/2 in × 4 1/2 in specimen; the applied angular twist needed to reorient the specimen by 90° is measured. An ergonomic finger control knob is optional.
