Taber Fabric Stiffness Tester 112

The Model 112 uses the cantilever bending principle to determine flexural rigidity of most textile fabrics (woven, knitted, napped, coated) quickly and accurately to ASTM D1388 and other standards; it also suits leather, paper and plastic films. A rectangular specimen rests on a smooth horizontal platform and a weighted slide advances it until the free edge touches a bend-angle indicator at 41.5° or 45°; the overhang length is measured and flexural rigidity and bending modulus calculated. Optional hand-crank speed control.
